Cambodia appoints new Representative to the AICHR

Beginning from 30 April 2013, the Royal Government of Cambodia has appointed H.E. Mr. Srun Thirith as the new Representative of Cambodia to the ASEAN Intergovermental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR).

Mr. Thirith is a member of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee and the Cambodian Government Jurists Council, in charge of drafting and
reviewing laws and policies and providing legal expertise to public institutions. Until 2009, he was a Government Official for the Office of the Council of Ministers. He has a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Law, Phnom Penh, Cambodia and a Master of Public Policy from Flinders University, Australia.
